i am an american citizen who lives in portage wi. i have made some poor decisions in my life which led me to conviction and a felony. i am married with 5 children and me and my wife cannot find employment at this time. we are facing severe financial problems and i am really trying my heart out to save my kids from being homeless. we are a strong family, but we are very poor and me and my wife are trying so hard at raising our 5 children. im woking on adopting my wife oldest son because i am trying to change for the better. it really frustrates me to not get employment because of my criminal history or because an employer is looking for someone to look a certain way. i am now very deppressed now and need to seek on how to handle this matter. i am facing eviction and it is literally hurting me mentally and phsically. i beg of someone to please help me.

Hi and God bless all those whom are needing this time of year. I am in a unique situation however, and really need to know whom to turn to. I am a military veteran, honorably discharged, and am on disablity because of getting rear-ended by a drunk driver and breaking 3 vertabrae in my neck. I have tried to find help through local organizations but they all say I signed up too late. I have a wonderful family that has missed a traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas two years in a row and I really, really, need help this year for them. I am not worried about myself, but they each deserve a medal and truly deserve a good Christmas this year. This might be the last Christmas for us as a family as Joanie, my fiance has a brain tumor, I have medical problems, and our son has cerebral palsy. Where can I go to find help without losing my dignity? Won't someone please help if even in a small way. God Bless. David

hi i am a mother of 4 duaghters looking for help for christmas. 3 of these girls also have birthdays in december. they all get good grades.they are ages 14,11, 6, 2. the older 2 play sports and are very good children. i have no one to turn to for help this year. my family can not afford to help us this year either. i am looking for a place to turn for help. i have asked many recent places on our reservation. i can not find help. i know that my children a least deserve to have a decent christmas. i have been going to school and living off our grants but this last semester i could not attend. could someone please help or send my name and childrens ages to someone that can. thank you very much...this is the first time i had to do this. i am sorry if i caused you any inconvenience.

To Whom it May Concern;

My name is Mary and this is my family's story. On January 17, 2011 my husband was laid off from his job due to plant closesure. He has yet to find employment. He is on his third teir of Unemployment benefits. Which is only $219.00. I am unable to work as I was diagnoised with Stage 3B invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer on April 14, 2011. I had surgery to remove my right breast and 23 nymph lodes. Four weeks after my sugery I went through 13 rounds of chemotherapy, and currently undergoing 33 rounds of radiation. Which is daily. I have to drive one hour each way everyday to receive treatments. It costs us about $120.00 a week for gas. So that leaves us with a $100.00 a week to pay our house payment, utilities, and basics for the around the house. But this is not happening we are picking and choosing which bills to pay so we can feed our girls, and make sure they have the neccessaties that they need. As of right now we are unable to buy Christmas presents for them as we do not have any extra money. I am afraid of losing our home as well. This has been the worse year for my family. I have become so drepressed and have anixety issues because I am worried about our fanicail situation. My team of Doctor's tell me not to worry because it is harder on my body as we are trying to fight cancer. Well it is really hard not to worry. My husband and I have always been able to pay all of our bills on time and have nice holidays for the kids. This is just heartbreaking for me. I do realize they are so many others with worse problems than me. And may God bless them to get through their situation.

Please help us! I am currently in a very akward position with no reliable means nor resources for recovery. Since my first post, things haven't gotten any better, they've actually gotten a lot worst! I have four children looking to me for immediate help/ aide and its very depressing because I can't even help myself. School is starting back now and I've lost my job! My children have no back to school items. I received another eviction letter. I applied for unemployment but so far I'm just waiting on the process to really start. A week ago I got more disturbing news that my oldest teenage(16) daughter is expecting! This has completely numbed me. Not only w/ my financial set backs, we've got an addition to this disfunctional family coming! I just need either a since of direction on where to begin to recover or some sort of emergency help. Ill begin with packing what we can salvage, putting those things in storage and entering some sort of family sheltering or transitional temporary living quarters. I'm totally lost! Can someone please help us!

I am a 20 year old single mom of 3 children and 4 months pregnant with another. I just came out of a 5 year on and off relationship. It permanently ended february of this year with me being his victim of abuse. When we were still together we started renting an apartment in november of 2011 but after the incident happened he refused to pay rent. I was evicted from the apartment and left homeless with my three children...I could not pay the rent because I am currently unemployed and still not receiving child support. I do look for work but I am always declined due to my just passing gpa in high school and my lack of experience...I have tried everything and I get the same response. I had two children throughout high school and still managed to graduate with a high school diploma! No one beleives me when I say the state doesn't help me a lot....I get food stamps and insurance for the kids. I am 4 months pregnant and haven't had one visit to the doctor due to not having any insurance. I have medical bills and other unpaid bills adding up to 10,000 dollars the way it is...and no way to pay any of them. The father of my children is an illegal and will just leave the country when he wants...he doesn't help me with anything and I have only seen him once since february and that was in court due to him beating me. I have a 7 month old that I breast fed for 6 months without the bottle but is now on formula...which pretty much uses up the food stamps. I am only 20 years old and I have gone through more than anyone can imagine...I have been mistreated, abused physically mentally and emotionally, left in the streets, and left to suffer...but I still manage to wake up every morning and do everything and anything I can for my kids. I don't have family help...at all...im completely on my own with the kids. I am trying to get out of this corner I am stuck in but there is always something stopping me from doing one thing or another. For example I am supposed to start school in january for criminal justice-law enforcement but I need a dependable car to get me there. I have a car but its a tiny four passenger car that doesn't fit the kids in as it is. I can't sell the car because it is not mine. It was my ex's car but in his uncles name whom is now in mexico. I just want to make it through law enforcement and get a job, and start a new life for the kids and I...get on my own and feel better about myself. I know a lot of people probobly come on here and just say what they can to get money...but everything I say is true. Please...any form of help will help me...I just want to get out of this rut I'm in and. Get on top of things. I am currently staying with some friends in a small 2 bedroom apartment.

To whom it may concern, I am an active duty spouse of a marine who's currently deployed in Iraq. I came home to milwaukee, wisconsin in January if 09' to take care of my ill mother who had lupus. We lost her in April of 09 due to lupus and organ failure. I'm still greiving severly because she was my main support system. Now I'm stuck here in milwaukee w/ no financial way to return home because the military has rules that they will only assist w/ relocation if the active duty member is given orders to relocate. My husband who has been deployed for the 4th time to Afghanistan, will need my support when he returns in August by the grace of god. There's no way that I can afford the relocation fees myself. I'm currently working a parttime job as a custodian here in wisconsin at $9.00 per hour. I can't even afford my rent here (which) I'm already $2,000 behind in my rent. My landlord has lost his patience and has threatened me w/ an eviction. I'm so afraid because my children and I won't have anywhere 2 go! Since my mom is deceased, I have no other options nor support. I've applied for foodstamps but what they give me isn't lasting the entire month.I'm continuing my job search for addtional income but with the economy as it stands, I haven't been a chosen candidate. Now that the heating season is over, We energies is threatenng to disconnect my service. My ultimate wish is to return to camp lejuene where my husband has military housing waiting for the kids and I. I already have the keys bu no financial way to move our belongings back there were I belong so that I can be there for my solider when he returns from Afghanistan safely. I just can't make it here in wisconsin! There's no resources, its not safe where we stay, the schools aren't supportive, we're starving half of the month, and I miss my husband so bad, its all depressing me, and tearing my family apart! HI, This Marquita Jemison,

And the reason i'm writing this letter is because i need some financial help. i'm behind and my bills i cant take care of my 2 children with the small income i get a month from SSI which is 873.00 my lights is over high 1,300 which mean and the summer there going to Disconnect my service because the bill is to high because i cant pay it up. my rent is 575.00 when i pay that my remaining balance of my income is 298.00 then i have to pay my home phone bills cause i need the phone service on for important phone call like the kids school, appointment for me and the children to go to the doctor when needed and that bill is 95.00 dollars a month and from my income for that my remaining balance for that is 203.00, not including what the kids need for school, socks, clothes, shoes, paper, pencils).. now i have to really budget cause of the remaining balance which is 203.00 i have to wash there clothes at the laundry mat cause i don't have a washer & dryer and the cost for my clothes in there's to be washed is 60.00 dollars probably even more depends how the items build up for not having my own washer & dryer. now my remaining balance is 143.00. now i need house hold items like washing powder, bleach, dishwasher liquid, towel, tissue, the price for that cause i'm still trying to budget is about 60.00 remaining balance from my income is 83.00, now that's not including how i'm going to get them to school everyday back & forth for the hold entire month, now what we do for food, we go to food pantry's eat over other people house, mostly at the food pantry's because people get tired us coming over all the time for food sometime they don't even open the door when they see us coming. it hurts but i have to keep pushing cause i have to children i have to take care daily and plus they need me.i am a single mother with no help trying to make it every single day to provide for me and my two children everyday god blow breathe and our body. now you see why i need the extra financial help and the reason i'm writhing this letter, if i didn't need help i would never own god green earth ask no one for nothing or do nothing for me  and my kids, i'm asking cause i need help before any deadline  because time is running out and me and the kids need any financial assistance that available, BECAUSE IF I DON'T GET ENOUGH HELP BEFORE THE DEADLINE LIGHTS GOING TO BE OUT, I DON'T HAVE ANY FRIEND I CAN LEAN ON FOR HELP IF THESE PROBLEM OCCUR, I DON'T WANT DHS COMING TO MY HOUSE BECAUSE OF THE NOSY PEOPLE I STAY AROUND, BECAUSE I TRY VERY HARD TO TAKE CARE OF THEM SO I DON'T NEED THAT PROBLEM IN MY LIFE AT TIMES LIKE THIS...
